For the most part Omega gives people what they want in servicing of a vintage piece. How many times here (and even more common on some other forums) do you see someone get a vintage watch back with all new hands, new dial, completely refinished and looking like new, and the owner is thrilled. My Omega Service Timeline
I find the "service" threads for vintage Omega that I've read so far, most disturbing. I have a couple of Speedmasters: late 60's and early 70's that I would love to bring back to life. I've been reading before I start a post in the vintage thread asking a bunch of questions. After seeing the 1948 re-release shown at Basel this year got this itch to pick up some vintage Omegas. Few questions I would like to ask from those with. My goals are 3 fold: To give someone who might need to send their watches back to an OEM a general idea of the process, the cost, the timeline, and expectations about how your watch will be returned to you. To give a comparison of the level service between two popular watch manufactures.

One of the most helpful ways to determine whether a Louis Vuitton bag is authentic is verifying the date code because unlike other brands such as Chanel, LV purses do not come with authenticity cards. Louis Vuitton has been incorporating date codes in almost every bag, wallet, shoe style, and small leather piece since the early 1980s.
