The YSL boots were quite painful to break in tbh, the leather was very stiff, but I have never had issues with the heel or the sole. I don’t even have sole protectors for them. Most of my heels do have sole protectors though, which I think definitely help. I’ve also had 4 YSL heels (2 heeled sandals and 2 pumps).
I have the same style in the shorter heel. They were my true size (us 6 - 36). I agree they feel a bit cramped in the toe area but not pinching my toes or anything. With the higher heel, your toes may feel more squished. Saint Laurent sometimes run very small in the toe box. I agree 37.5 might be too long. YSL shoes are also a little more narrow, and the outsole of YSL heels, (especially strappy heels) are notorious for being quite small and do not have much surface area/space for the feet. That's not to say that 38 in all designer shoes automatically equates to an 8. Some lines run small, some run big. Gotcha, that was exactly what I was asking. I want to get a pair of gold shoes for my shoe collection and came across the YSL Tribute sandal in "Sahara". Now, I don't have a YSL near my area and I will be ordering it on the website so I was wondering for all of you ladies who already own a pair do they run true to size or are they like Louboutins, each style is different.

I noticed that the logo was faded at the edges but didn't think anything of it. But then I was trying to break the shoes in by just walking around the house and noticed that fading is getting worse. I have 2 other pairs of YSL pumps and never had this issue. umm.. pitch: much steeper with CLs, YSL is like a gentle slope. toe box: generally narrow with CLs, YSL is medium to wide width. Vamp: low cut with CLs, higher on YSL. sole: always lacquered with CLs, can be lacquered or non-lacquered leather, or rubber with YSL. Heel: almost always straight with CLs, usually straight but can have a curve with YSL.
